How to Have a Beauty Spa Day at Home
Hi my Lovelies! Today, I am happy to share with you a guest post written by Amy Mia. We hope you will enjoy it and have a fun and relaxing time when doing your next beauty spa day at home!
Do you know those times when you just start your day off on the wrong foot? Everything goes wrong and before you even reach noon, you’re ready to stab the next person who tells you that you look a bit tired today. Due to various legal and practical issues of running people over while you laugh gleefully, it’s generally a much better idea to find a different way to relax.
Luckily, there’s a perfect way to let all of that stress go, and it comes in the form of an awesome spa day. But wait, you might be thinking, I don’t live in a house made of diamonds, I can’t afford to go to a spa every time I’m nervous. Ah, but you can! How? Well, by making your own spa day at home, by creating a perfect little moment of peace that rivals even the best of professional spas. Here are some of the things you’ll need.
Slip into a comfy robe
This is going to be the time dedicated to you, and solely you, and you shouldn’t bother with anything that doesn’t make you feel 100% comfortable. Before you even begin, take off your clothes and slip into a luxurious, silky bathrobe that will feel cool and soft against your skin and that won’t restrain you in any way. It’s a quick way to feel cozy, but also a little bit sexy, too.
Materials such as silk are meant for beautiful women; they’re delicate and lovely, and remind us just how alluring our femininity can be.
To be able to really enjoy your spa day, you need to be in the right headspace to be able to relax. So, go all in and treat yourself. You’ve earned this, so stop worrying about deadlines, errands and bills. Light some candles, play some smooth jazz tunes, and maybe even use some jasmine or sandalwood-scented incense. Surround yourself with soothing scents, sounds, and visuals.
Have fresh sheets in your bedroom, prepare a few plush pillows to snuggle up with, put some fresh flowers in a vase. Oh, and the most important bit – have your fuzziest socks ready.
Get some beauty products
Spa days are the perfect time to pamper yourself, let go of that tension that makes your face crease with worry. Grab some good beauty products, and make sure you go for something of the highest quality, because your skin deserves this. Start off by pouring some bath salts and scented oils into your tub and then soak in the hot water. This is the perfect time to take care of your body and face. Something like the enzyme firming mask by Osmosis Skin Care is the perfect way to give your skin a smooth and healthy appearance.
Place two cucumber slices on your eyelids if you have issues with dark circles, and use a body scrub to make your skin smooth and fresh. Pick a good lotion and moisturizer, and you’ll also want a pair of cotton gloves ready. Just slather your hands with a thick layer of Laura Mercier’s Almond Coconut Milk hand cream or any other cream of your choosing, pull the gloves on, and take a nap. When you wake up, your hands will be so velvety soft that you won’t believe it.
Make sure no one disturbs you
Unless the house is on fire, or your dog needs you, there is no reason for anyone to disturb your spa time. Turn your phone off, kick everyone out, and resist the urge to “just check your Instagram once.” No social media, no emails. Forget about technology and just learn how to enjoy the moment and relax properly. Grab a good romance novel, sit back, and read about some hot, steamy adventures with a sexy male lead as you let a hair pack sit on your head for at least an hour.
Want to make the spa day even more fun? Invite your girlfriends over and let the sound of laughter and a glass of wine calm you down as you all sit and hang out. Gossip about celebrities, chat about your families, discuss your favorite shows, and just bond with each other as you enjoy booze, beauty routines, and good company.
