  • 5 Tips to Plan a Road Trip

Hey fellow travelers! Have you ever dreamed of spontaneously packing your bag, grabbing your car keys and drive to new horizons? How cool is it not too have to book any expensive train nor plane tickets and just feel totally free going on a road trip, with your best friends, singing in the car like crazy, windows wide open and wandering wherever the road leads you? Sounds pretty fun doesn’t it? Here are 5 tips I have learned from my USA Road Trip, which will help you to plan a road trip. Pick a route Firstly, try to get together with your friends to discuss where you want to go on this road trip and how long you will be gone for. When you plan a road trip, you don’t have to pick a destination but rather a direction. From my experience, it is however easier if you have a few ideas of which place shall be your last stop, to ensure there are plenty of great activities and cities to visit on the way to your final destination. In our case, we had decided to rent a camping-car with my family in Los Angeles and decided to finish our road trip in San Francisco. As we had planed to spend 1 month on the road, instead of going straight from LA to SF we drove down to San Diego and then went to each and every single stunning National Parks in Arizona, Utah, Nevada and then headed back to California. Find a place to stay at night If you are traveling with a car, although the idea of sleeping in the car sounds attractive to adventurous souls, it is not really comfortable and can be dangerous too. Thus, one of my best tips to plan a road trip with a car, if you have a tight budget, is to skip the expense of a hotel and find out if you or your friends have some long lost relatives living along your chosen route. However, if you travel with a camping-car like we did, then you can just give a call on the same day to a beautiful campground which will be near to your following day activities. I unfortunately cannot recall the names of all the campgrounds we have spent nights at, however I will never forget how I felt when waking up every day with a different view, whether it was when we stopped at a campground near the Canyon Lake in Arizona, the Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah or falling asleep under the stars at the Natural Bridges National Monument in South East Utah. Make a list of things to do at each stop Once we had picked a route and organized our lodgings, it was time to figure out what we wanted to see. In our case it was pretty clear as we wanted to discover all the National Parks in the 4 states we went to and do some walking, kayak and other fun activities. At the time we were using printed itineraries and were trying to get mobile phone signals, which truly was a real challenge as most of the places in Utah, Arizona and Nevada did not have any signal at all. But obviously, as we are now in 2016, depending where you travel, you will be able to google the top 10 activities to do in the place you are visiting directly on your mobile phone, so no need to print itineraries anymore. 😉 Pack only the Necessary Packing the right things is important to plan a road trip but don’t panic, keep it simple. You are not going to a fashion show but to explore new places, thus only take the minimum in terms of clothes and maximum 2 pairs of comfortable flat shoes. I know, it is easier to say than to do as I personally took way too much stuff when I went to the US and ended up almost always wearing the same clothes. For more in depths packing tips and tricks, read my post on Packing Tips here. Last but not least, Enjoy the ride! Now, although we were well prepared, we quickly realized that no matter how much we had planned our road trip, there was always something that did not go as we had thought it would. Chances are this might happen to you too and there is nothing more normal than that when on the road with your friends. It is actually the fun part of planning a road trip because in the end, these unwanted events become your best memories! So when you plan a road trip, (speaking from experience…) if your plans are changing last minute, because you got into a big fight with your friend who was driving and who accidentally exploded one tire (if not two!) in the middle of a national park, when it is about to close and it is pouring rain… Smile, walk to the nearest SOS Phone Station and remember that this is part of the journey! 🙂 That’s about it, you are now ready to jump in your car/camping-car and drive to your new adventure. There’s a lot to discover in this world and I hope your future road trip will be as fun and adventurous as our was on the West Coast! • Self-tanning mousse: I tried it and people’s reaction was priceless…

Hey beautiful souls, today I would like to share one of my favorite beauty tip with you… Within the past few years, I have had many friends who asked me about my secret to a beautiful tan all year long (thanks to self-tanning), so I decided to share it with all of you too! Having been raised in a country where the sun is shy and the clouds enjoy showing off, I had to figure out a way to magically exchange my pale yellow skin for a beautiful sun-kissed tan. Curiosity leads to great discoveries… It all started when I was 10 years old (yup… that early!), secretly trying each single beauty creams and makeup my Mama had in the bathroom. It was all fun and games until she found out that half of her beauty products had very little left. I did try to pretend I had no clue what Upset-Mama was talking about but the zebra orange-brown-yellowish marks on my hands and all over my body, spoke up the truth for me. Eventually, I got yelled at but it was all worth it… as I had just discovered how to be tanned any time of the year and it felt awesome. Now, the official first attempts have not been glorious but I knew one day I would master this art. The months and years have passed and I kept on trying new products, getting better results each time until I found THE product I have now adopted for the past two years. And the winner is… Loving Tan (Promo code: “BELLEZAREBEL” if you want to get a free tanning mitt with any mousse purchase) Their tanning mousse is the BOMB and everything a Summer lover pale girl can dream of! Loving Tan is an affordable and natural Aussie brand (starting at $34.95 USD), easy to apply; no zebra effect, drying is fast and leaves you with a beautiful dark natural sun-kissed tan. So let’s have a look at your perfect self-tanning match here below… Which one is your perfect match? Loving Tan Mousse comes in three different tones; Medium, Dark and Ultra Dark. Medium is perfect for you if you have a fair skin and look for an ultra natural effect. It will give you a beautiful and sun-kissed tan, while keeping it discret. This is your match for the “You look flawless!” kinda reaction. Dark is perfect for you if you have a medium or olive skin tone and wish to get a tan that gets noticed but still looks natural. It is your best bro for the “Wow you look gorgeous and are so lucky, I wish the sun this weekend had left me with the same tan!” kinda reaction. Ultra Dark is for the “OMG I wish I could ever get that tanned, but I guess your skin is originally dark anyways…” kinda reaction. This color can actually work for any skin color tone as long as you are not afraid to look really but really tanned! 😉 How much does it cost and which option is the best? You can either get a 2HR  Express bottle ($39.95 USD) or a Deluxe Bronze bottle ($34.95 USD). I am not exactly sure what the differences are except that one can be rinse out after only 2 hours and the other 6 hours, I use both and they are really great. However, I feel like the 2HR express dries slightly faster and you can see your final results faster too. It is recommended to shower 2 hours after the application of 2 HR Express mousse and 6 hours if you use the Deluxe Bronze bottle in order to rinse out the excess color on your body and getting to see your beautiful result. Promo Code? Use my promo code: “BELLEZAREBEL” to get a free tanning mitt with any mousse purchase! 🙂 How to apply for a perfect blend? To facilitate the application of the mousse on your gorgeous body, I would suggest you to get the Mitt (the black glove thingy you can see on the above pics) which you can either purchase directly on Loving Tan website or on Aliexpress if you wish to go for a cheaper option that still does the work. The Mitt will ensure a perfect blend of the self-tanning mousse on your skin and will leave your hands clean. My Process to a perfect blend : Before you start applying the mousse, ensure to first 1) get a gentle body scrub to get rid of dry skin. Then, 2) apply some hydratating cream on your body (avoid oily creams) and 3) wait 5 minutes for your skin to soak up the cream and then 4) shake and apply the Deluxe or 2HR Express self-tanning mousse of your choice. It does help if you get a friend to help you apply the mousse on your back for example, as that is the only tricky part of your body to cover. Loving Tan does sell a special applicator for your back but from personal experience, having a friend doing it is much more convenient and helps you to avoid any frustration! 🙂 So how does the before and after look like on my body? There you go: Left leg is my natural skin color and my right leg is after only 30 minutes of my Ultra Dark Mousse application. Then after 6,5 hours I showered, went to bed and… I woke up like this! Can I also apply the mousse on my face? I would suggest you not to apply the self-tanning mousse on your face nor on any dry part of your body as this might leave you with unwanted dark stretch. So your face will be white?! Nope darling, there is another cream for that and here is how it looks: Your solution for an instant perfect tan on your face and neck! This newbie is my ‘coup de coeur’ called  “Picture Perfect” which I use on a daily basis for my face and neck… The texture is liquid, hydrates your skin and its dark color blends perfectly while massaging it on my face. Right after the application, I look super tanned and it feels great! The Dark color suits warm skin tones like medium and dark skins, but if your skin tone is cool and you have a paler skin color, get the Medium tint and you will be enchanted! And after using the magical Picture Perfect: Promo Code: “BELLEZAREBEL” to get a free tanning mitt with any mousse purchase. What about you? Have you tried this self-tanning mousse yet or another brand? I look forward to read your thoughts on it! 🙂 Muaks, Muaks Cindy #PromoCode #review #sunkissed #beauty #favoriteproduct #selftanning #lovingtan #skin

  • Top 10 Places To Visit in Bali – PART II

Because Bali is always a good idea! – Part Two As you’ve just discovered while reading our Top 10 Places To Visit in Bali, because Bali is always a good idea! – PART I, here are the 5 awesome remaining activities to complete your list of TOP 10 MUST DO & VISIT WHEN IN BALI… 6) Soak up the Sun at Seminyak Beach Seminyak is known as one of the fanciest and most developed part of the island, it is also one of the most westernized and touristic place in Bali and surely is not as trashy as Kuta. In Seminyak you will find many boutiques for your shopping sessions as well as many Western food, bars, nightclubs and hotels. There are also some famous beach clubs, speaking of which we went to the Potato Head Beach Club because everyone kept on telling us how cool it was, however apart from their yummy burger and salad (a little overpriced), the Beach Club swimming pool was pretty dirty and we were not that impressed with it. The above picture is the yummy food and below picture is Potato Head Beach Club, it looks quite nice like this but only if you do not mind over-crowded touristic places. Personally, this is not my cup of tea as this Beach Club to me does not represent Bali at all. However, I guess it is a nice spot for Western Expats who are feeling homesick if that is ever possible when living on such a wonderful island. Thus, I would not necessarily recommend Potato Head Beach Club as I felt like it was a bit of a waste of time and we could have been spending that day somewhere else in Bali. La Plancha, Seminyak Beach Now, here this THE PLACE you have to go to, otherwise you will regret it big time and you won’t be able to tell me otherwise! Seminyak Beach is my favorite place in Bali to chill and enjoy feeling young, wild and free! I will never forget the “much awaited” sunsets Seminyak beach offers on a daily basis either.  Personally, La Plancha is my number one place on Seminyak beach if not in the whole world and I highly recommend it to you too if you love the “Boho” kind of life; enjoying great music, salty hair, sandy and sun-kissed toes, some mojitos, delicious tapas and picturesque views of Bali sunsets. So, if you are in Bali and about to head there, know that I am super-duper jealous, so promise me you will enjoy each second of it! 7) Enjoy a delicious and romantic Seafood dinner at Jimbaran Beach Now you asked for Romantic, I will give you R-O-M-A-N-T-I-C! 8) Chill and enjoy the positive vibes at a wonderful Hotel or Villa with an infinity pool Because that’s part of the trip too, isn’t it?! When in Bali we spent our 9 nights at a lovely hotel called the Kuta Beach Heritage. 9) Take Surf lessons in Kuta Bali is famous for its big waves and surf spots. Thus, why wouldn’t we take this as an opportunity to challenge ourselves by learning how to master this ocean art, while shaping our body like a beach goddess? Our teacher told us that we should surf early in the morning, but as none of us are morning peeps, we felt like afternoon was fine too. Well guess what, we failed because the waves were there but the wind was super strong and the ocean RIP Current was so strong that it was impossible for us to walk with the surf and swim in the water. By the way we also lost our Go Pro because of a big wave (still wondering who ended up finding it… I hope it’s a mermaid!), Gosh that was an awful moment. Anyways, as I always say and even got tattooed, there are no mistakes, everything is always a lesson. So we learnt and the following days we followed all the instructions correctly and were happy to stand up on the boards, although we were far from being pros… So please, if you guys are also super keen on taking some surf lessons make sure you are ready to wake up early and be in the water around 6:30am or 7am, because that is THE moment for you to surf the waves. 10) Rent a motorbike and don’t forget your camera! I am calling all of you beautiful and adventurous souls out there, keen on wandering and getting lost in beautiful places. My last but not least recommendation for you to ensure your adventure in Bali is spent to the fullest is to rent a motorbike and just GO. My favourite place to wander in Bali is Ubud. I just love to drive-through its immense rice fields and get to meet with smiling locals who work there, finding true peace while looking at this nature jewel, feeling like the world is yours and nothing is impossible. Now, you beautiful and adventurous souls, go wander and tell us about your Balinese experience, any top places you have preferred and why? Muaks, Muaks & have a safe flight to your future adventures! • 5 Tips to Plan a Fun Summer Party

Oh Summer, how happy are we that it is your time of the year again! One of my favorite part during these warm sunny and long days, is that you can celebrate outside, allowing you to enjoy the fresh air, feel the sun kissing your skin, and throw some amazing pool, garden and BBQ parties on, down with your friends and family, all in the comfort of one of your relatives’ own back garden if not in yours directly. Because it is all about planning and having fun, I am much delighted to share my 5 tips for you to organize your perfect summer celebration! 1) The Conceptualization and Planning Phase Make sure you have a set budget, a date and a fun concept (if you need some inspo, click here) you can achieve on time. This 1st tip is all about planning smart, so that you enjoy the process rather than being stressed. Here you want to ensure that all elements needed for your party to be a success are realistic and don’t exceed your budget. If you don’t pay attention to this basic planning part, the worst thing that could happen your way is that on the day of the party, your guests are here but you have no food, no drinks, no decoration, no music, no lights, no tables maybe even no venue… to make it short, you are having a nightmare, eyes wide open. Now neither you want that to happen nor your friends no matter how much the sun is out. So get a piece of paper, start planning and don’t forget to have fun and that for any events, one is never too prepared. 2) Compare Prices and Make it Happen Once you know what you want to do, how much money you have and if your friends fancy coming to your party, start organizing the party supplies. Websites like Etsy and Aliexpress offer a lot of fun and awesome festivity accessories you will probably need; including big round balloons, themed straws, inflatable Giant Swan/Flamingo/Donuts/Unicorn, games, props, fairy lights, tableware and many other cool decoration. As for the F&B parts (Food & Beverage) make sure to check out your local supermarkets to see which one offers the best prices and quality as this is a big part of your Summer Party success as well. 3) Have a Plan B Because no matter where you live in the world – the weather is this one beautiful/annoying Mother Nature master piece that no one will ever be able to control. Thus, make sure you have a Plan B, C and D; think about where a shelter is and how you could move the important elements (F&B, Electronics, table set up and some decoration if you can). Also plan on where you could grill the meat and veggies should the worst happen. Last but not least, have a plan for activities you can do inside, Twister game or some other fancier games are something your guests could do whatever the weather is. 4) The Clock is ticking You have now received all your awesome party supply, can’t wait to put it all together and see your friends’ reactions… That’s really exciting, thus to ensure everything goes as planned in your head, allow yourself time on the day to get things sorted. I would suggest you to get 2-3 friends, depending on how many guests you are expecting, to help you and perhaps one of them is wonderful at making cupcakes or fun cookies so you could ask them (don’t if it’s super last minute though!) to bring their sweet and yummy talent for all to taste, or one might be able to stop by a little earlier just to help you with the food and drinks preparation, setting up the decoration, tableware and start playing out some cool music, so you can get yourself fresh, dressed and pretty! 5) It’s Party Time and You Should Celebrate too This is what a party is for, having a good time and celebrating life all together. It isn’t just your guests who should have fun at your summer celebration you should too! So don’t stress nor run from place to place with dishes every two minutes. Instead, set up an area where people can bring their plates when finished with and allow yourself to sit down and have some coconut water by the pool and a Mojito or two! Now, what about you, what are your top tips to organize an awesome summer party? • Top 10 Places To Visit in Bali – PART I

Because Bali is always a good idea! – Part One How to ensure your 10 days are well spent in Paradise? If you are planning your trip to Bali, you might be a bit confused whether you want to spend some time relaxing in Ubud, enjoying its beautiful nature environment and refreshing infinity pools or if you would rather opt for some fun surfing and partying areas. Let us help you by sharing our TOP 10 PLACES with you, which will make your stay a memorable one! Like on every trip I plan, I usually write down a short list of the top 10 things we want to explore and experiment. To do so, I spend few hours on Google and blogs to find out how to spend my time in the most efficient and fun way, while still respecting my set budget. So let me save you some research and precious time right now by giving you an awesome TOP 10 things to do when in pretty Bali. TOP 10 MUST DO & VISIT WHEN IN BALI 1) Balinese Sunset and Traditional Dance in Uluwatu Temple (Pura Luhur Uluwatu) Uluwatu Temple is one of the six most important temples thought to be Bali’s spiritual pillars. It is famous for its wonderful location, floating on top of a sharp cliff roughly 70 metres above the sea level. When visiting this temple, we had the chance to discover marvellous sunset backdrops as well as a traditional Balinese dance show which was a wonderful and unforgettable experience for us. After all, Bali is famous to be a romantic destination, thanks to its wonderful culture, landscapes and breath-taking sunsets that Mother Nature shares every evening. On a slightly less glamorous side, I would suggest you to ask a Balinese Private Driver to take you there and wait for you while you enjoy your time there, as it is the safest and nicest option unless if you do not mind waiting many hours queuing to get a taxi. 🙂 2) Explore and Jump in the Gitgit Waterfalls You should not miss visiting these beautiful waterfalls known for their super dark and refreshing water. It was quite an experience to get there as we had to walk for a while in the middle of the jungle. Once we arrived closer to the Waterfalls, there was a small wooden house and that is where two locals told us that we were about to see the Waterfalls but if we wanted to see them, we had to pay. I cannot remember the exact amount but we felt a bit trapped but ended up paying. After all, these people need these few dollars more than we did. Once we passed that little house, only a few meters away, we finally saw the famous Gitgit Waterfalls and felt like it was worth the walk. The water was transparent, really refreshing and dark because of its black rocks and the trees on the high rocks would not let the sun come across. As you can see it is pretty dark and mysterious, I was really amazed by this place. There were some people who were trekking the waterfalls, so if that is something you would like to do in Bali, it can be done here at Gitgit waterfalls too! Find out more here. 3) Discover Pura Tanah lot Temple built on a Coral Rock Tanah Lot which means Land and Sea, is situated on a big coral rock in the sea, which looks like a small island floating on the water, located at Beraban village and situated on the south coast of Bali. We have decided to visit this beautiful temple as you can feel a strong connection with the sea and during our visit we learnt that this place invokes the balance of sea and earth as well as prosperity which truly are important elements to South East Asian and Asian people. 4) Get amazed by the views at Pura Ulun Danu Temple Situated at the north of Bali Island, Pura Ulun Danu is definitely my favourite temple I have been to so far. Pura Ulun Danu Bratan is a key water temple on the shores of the Bratan Lake (Danau Bratan). This aquatic piece of jewel was built by the King of Mengwi in 1633 who offered and dedicated this temple to the Lake Goddess. I had seen this temple so many times on Pinterest and post cards that I knew I had to go there once in my life to see it from my own eyes. When I got there, I felt full of really deep and beautiful emotions, you know the kind of feeling that makes you thank God so deeply for being alive and you feel so blessed to be there at this very particular moment. It is truly wonderful to experience and visit such an amazing and peaceful place with its lake, fresh air and mountains backdrop. There is so much culture and history in this place that it gives you chills, it truly is my favourite temple from all the ones I have visited in South East Asia so far. Pura Ulun Danu really is a true insipration and jewel full of arts and secrets. An absolute MUST visit on your list! 🙂 5) Experience Ubud’s Relaxed and Good Vibes Although we only stopped there for a few hours, Ubud is a place I would love to visit again but longer this time. It is a must see and experiment if you love Yoga, Peaceful Nature and if you have an Artistic Soul. Although Ubud is busy and crowded, you can take a short 20-minute walk that will lead you to Penastanan, a small village which just sits above Ubud. Penastanan seemed to be mainly chosen by artists and expats, and in my opinion it is where you should stay over to experience the real Balinese peace. You will find this little village as much more relaxed vibes and is quieter than central Ubud and it is the perfect spot to enjoy some fresh young coconut… If you have not realized it yet, coconut water is my one true addiction and Bali definitely has the biggest and tastiest ones, lucky me! • Singapore: 10 Must-Visit Places

Hey my lovely travelers! Here are the 10 Must-Visit Places for your next trip to Singapore. Whether it is for a few days or a longer holiday, these places will ensure your time in Singapore is well spent! 1) Little India Little India is where Singapore’s Indian community lives and where smiles, smells and colors are all genuinely warm and sub continental. This inspiring and enchanting place is a must visit and it surely will stimulate your senses; whether it is the mystical songs from temples and mosques, the multi-colored shop-houses (nope no filter needed!) all around the streets or the spicy aromas that infuse the air. 2) Arab Street This area is where Singapore’s Muslim community lives and is where you will feel inspired by great Malay and Arabic vibes. The houses and floors are really colorful, so make sure to take loads of pictures there! Arab Street is also a very creative area, full of shops where you can find (if you enter and look very well) some great DIY fabrics inspiration. Additionally, there is a shop where you can make your own fragrance. I could not resist so I created one and loved it! Other than that, Arabic Street architecture and design is absolutely stunning in some streets and my favorite place to have a drink and eat some rainbow cake is I AM, at the hipster area! 3) Joo Chiat Road 4) China Town In Chinatown you will be able to visit the beautiful Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, which is a very impressive temple situated right round the corner. If you wish to buy some souvenirs, Chinatown is the place to go as it has the cheapest souvenirs in the country. As for the food, you might want to try out Chinatown’s authentic Chinese food. On this latter, if you are used to eat Chinese food in Western countries, be warned that the real Chinese food tastes and looks nothing like the one you are used to eat, trust me! 5) Orchard Road You cannot come to Singapore and not spend some time on the fanciest road of the city. 6) Sentosa Island Sentosa Island was previously known as Pulau Belakang Mati, which means “The Island After Death” in Malay. It was used as the British “Singapore Fortress” during World War II and is a place where many soldiers lost their lives. However, the years have passed and Singapore rebranded and rebuilt this beautiful southern island into “Sentosa – the State of Fun”. 7) Marina Bay Sands (MBS) MBS, is THE hotel where you should book at least 1 night in! Now, I must admit the rooms are not special BUT not only will you be able to swim in the highest infinity pool in the world, which gives you breath-taking views on Marina Bay and the Financial District but also you will be able to enjoy MBS famous Casino and shake your body in MBS rooftop’s CÉ LA VIE nightclub. Additionally, you must visit MBS huge Shopping Mall as it is one of the biggest in Singapore if not in South East Asia. 8) Gardens by the Bay Although my video will happily speak for itself, Gardens by the Bay is an enchanting plants themed venue, situated just behind MBS. The best time for you to visit is at 7.45pm and 8.45pm as these hours are when the night light show of the Super Trees Grove begins. By the way, entrance is free! 9) Universal Studio Although it is much smaller than the one in LA, you surely will have a great time there! 10) Botanic Garden I would only recommend it to you if you are spending more than 1 or 2 days in Singapore. Click here to discover more pictures of colorful Singapore. I hope this post is helpful to you. I will be posting about the best places to have a drink and to eat soon, so stay tuned! 🙂 Wishing you a lot of happy discoveries when visiting lovely Singapore! • I tried Russian & Cluster Lash Extensions and got blown away

How great would it be to wake up flawless, do sport flawless and go to the beach flawless? I might have the solution to this right here and the winner is called, Lash Extensions! ‘Russian Volume Lashes’ and ‘Clusters Lashes’ are two must try in terms of lash extensions techniques. It will give you this pretty and sexy Bambi eye effect you have been trying to hopelessly get using mascara, but could never achieve. Oh yes, I can feel your frustration! So what are the differences between these two techniques and is it worth it? The differences between the 2 techniques Russian Volume Lashes is a multi-lash technique that creates volume to your lashes, by adhering up to 3-5 ultra-fine eyelash extensions onto each of your natural lash. It does take about 1 hour and a half depending on the effect you want to have (natural or voluminous) and depending on the beautician experience. I tried this technique when I was in Phuket and truly loved it because it was so soft, long and voluminous all at once but still looked natural and it did last for 4 weeks. The other technique is my absolute favorite and is known as ‘Cluster Lash’ which consists of groups of 5 to 8 blunt-end cluster eyelashes tied together in a bunch. These cluster eyelashes instantly enhance fullness thanks to their multi-lash flare and they look more natural than certain falsies. Another thing that I love about the ‘Cluster Lash’ is that it stays for weeks and the catch up is only S$10 when done at Milly’s. All this without having any lash falling and this technique somehow is the cheapest and fastest as it takes much lesser time to apply as lashes are already clustered together. How to choose the right Lash Extension Salon? As we only have two eyes and we all know how fragile they are, the idea of having something glued on your pretty eyes might sound a bit scary. Therefore, you must ensure that you get your lashes done in a well reputed place, where the hygiene is perfect and where they do not mind showing you pictures of their work on other clients. It is better to go to a place that charges you a bit more and that often updates its Social Media accounts with real pictures rather than to be seduced by a cheaper price, photo-shopped pictures and end up with red eyes because not only the glue is cheap but your lashes are glued together which makes it painful and might hurt your natural lashes. It is not easy to find a great place, thus make your research and you will be pleased with your Bambi eyes! A few differences between Single and Cluster Lash Extensions Back in Switzerland, I used to have the Single Eyelash technique for about 4 years which was really nice and looked more natural than clusters. However, in Switzerland Single Lash Extensions can be quite pricey (Find out more here). For some reasons which were not linked to my beauticians, I used to lose most of the single lash extensions after two weeks and had to catch up really often. Since I moved to Singapore, I tried two salons and personally find it hard to stop wearing my Black Diamond Cluster lashes since I gave it a try at Milly’s. This latter beauty salon is a well-known eyelash extensions place in Singapore. Are these techniques bad for my own lashes? I would lie to you if I would tell you that your own lashes remain super strong and healthy after having worn Lash Extensions, especially the Clusters ones as they can be a bit heavy if your lashes are really thin or short. Again, it all depends on the way you will take care of your extensions and also it is mainly linked to the Lash Specialist you went to. Thus, my tips to you would be to ensure you go to a real professional (not the cheapest) and then listen carefully to a few advice you will receive from them such as; avoiding water on your eyes during the first 24 hours, being careful when washing your face, not use any oily cream on your eyes and try to be careful on how you sleep too (this latter is not really mandatory but helps you to keep your lash extensions beautiful.  Then my last advice to you is that once your own lashes have grown a bit and you start getting annoyed with your cluster extensions, DON’T pull them of yourself (I did it and it hurt, I was stupid, don’t be). Instead go to your beautician and they will use the right product, which will avoid any damage or loss of lashes. Now if you are in Europe, Australia, USA or anywhere else, you might want to Google Lashes Extensions salons in your country and check out their social media accounts and website. I am pretty sure they also offer the Cluster Lash technique, so go get your butterfly eyes now! 🙂 What about you? Have you tried cluster extensions yet? Do you like it or prefer the Single Lash Extensions? Muaks, Muaks Cindy #switzerland #millys #beauty #lashextensions #bambieyes #thailand #clusterlashextensions #russianlashextensions #singapore

  • 3 Must-Try Restaurants In Joo Chiat, Singapore

3 MUST-TRY RESTAURANTS IN JOO CHIAT, SINGAPORE Singapore is known for its tasty food and one of my favorite spot for yummy discoveries is Joo Chiat Road.  This street has a particular charm as its architecture is colonial and really colorful. It is full of little coffee shops and restaurants, which make Joo Chiat a real hidden food and art jewel… Eating is to Singaporeans what football is to Europeans, almost a national sport! Jokes apart, anyone visiting or living in Singapore must take part of this wonderful food culture and take this as an opportunity to try as much food as you can. Singapore to me is like the heaven of food, where food from the 5 continents somehow all meet in your plate in one country and bring happiness to a crazy fast-paced environment and hungry stomachs. In this article, I will share with you 3 of the yummiest restaurants in Joo Chiat, a colorful and colonial street in Singapore. 1) Zaffron Kitchen @ 135/137 East Coast Road, 428820, Singapore Indian food is the BOMB! One of the greatest thing on this tiny island is that many Indians live here and share their culinary art and talents for the pleasure of all the lovers of tasty and colorful food out there. We went to have lunch at Zaffron Kitchen a few days ago on a Saturday and it has been a really pleasant experience. The food was really tasty and yummy! We had a platter of mixed meats accompanied with some nature and butter Nans and Biryani rice. Just writing about it makes me wish I was back there and could reorder the exact same food! Apart from some places in Little India, this restaurant is definitely one of my favorite in SG! Additionally, the restaurant has a charming and welcoming atmosphere and a great style too. The staff was welcoming and the service was one of the best experienced in SG so far (not too difficult though as most of the places are pretty bad in term of service). I already look forward to our next visit there! 🙂 2) The Braisero @ 333 Joo Chiat Road, 427588, Singapore Only a few affordable places in SG offer really good meat quality, so I let you imagine how happy I was when I discovered some juicy steak pictures while randomly check-in on my Facebook feed… I really really was in deep need of some tasty and juicy steak and God knows their Argentinian meat did please me! At just S$19.90++, you get a delicious piece of meat served with a salad and yummy fresh French fries and this latter à volonter svp! 🙂 Ok, I must admit that the other really cool part is that it is a French restaurant so I was more than happy to get to finally speak my mother tongue again with some cool peeps and not hearing Chinese and receiving proper Ketchup and no Chili sauce for a change. The restaurant is quite small which makes it a cozy place and the staff is young and nice. If you feel like having some great Argentinian meat with your hubby or friends, the Braisero will be your happy place to go! 🙂 Bon appetit les amis and thank me later! 😉 3) Evertop Family Restaurant @ 8 Joo Chiat Terrace, 427181, Singapore This Malay Restaurant is a very typical place on Joo Chiat Road that looks like any other small restaurant where the food is yummy and cheap. If you go there, you must try their famous “Dinosaur drink” which basically is made of iced Milo (aka Nesquik chocolate milk powder with ice and a lot of powder on top for my fellow Europeans). I hope this post will be useful to you beautiful souls and feel free to leave a comment or click the heart button if this article inspired you! 🙂 Muaks, Muaks, Cindy #malayfood #tasty #southeastasia #expatlife #argentinianmeat #indianfood #cheapfood #joochiat #singapore
